The lawyers behind the firm.
Old Stone Legal is deliberately small and deliberately senior. Every practitioner here leads their own matters, answers their own clients and is qualified in the legal system they advise on. No photos, no vanity titles, just the people who will actually be doing your work.
The team
Experts in their fields, qualified where it counts.
Our practitioners span Nigerian, English and Canadian law, and most matters draw on more than one of them. Whoever you start with, the right colleague is one message away.
Ryan Goldstein
Partner, UK Practice Lead
Ryan leads the firm’s English law practice and acts as first port of call for clients buying, selling or restructuring in the UK. His work spans property transactions, business and commercial matters, powers of attorney and affidavits of execution, and ongoing general counsel support for owner-managed businesses. Clients keep him on retainer for the same reason they instructed him in the first place: straight answers, delivered quickly.

Joshua Shekwolo Esq
Partner, Nigeria Practice Lead
Joshua is an advocate first. He leads the firm’s Nigerian practice across criminal defence, regulatory matters and business representation, appearing for companies and individuals before courts, agencies and counterparties. Clients bring him their most sensitive matters because he combines courtroom instinct with commercial judgement, protecting the business as well as the case.

Frank George
Notary Public, Canada Practice
Frank runs the firm’s Canadian notarial desk, the quiet engine behind many of our cross-border matters. From certified true copies and affidavits to consent letters, invitation letters and citizenship forms, he handles the documents that make immigration applications, estates and international transactions move. Precise, fast and entirely online.

Eleanor Hartley
Senior Counsel, Disputes & Arbitration
Eleanor handles the firm’s contentious work under English law, from contract and commercial disputes to energy and utility claims, arbitration and mediation. She is known for settling matters her clients expected to fight and winning the ones that could not settle. She works closely with Ryan on disputes arising from property and business transactions.

Adaeze Nwosu
Senior Counsel, Corporate & Intellectual Property
Adaeze advises founders and growing companies on structuring, registration, governance and the protection of what they build. She leads trademark and IP registration and enforcement in Nigeria and coordinates filings across our other jurisdictions, so a brand protected at home stays protected wherever it travels. She partners with Joshua when corporate matters turn contentious.

Meera Sandhu
Senior Counsel, Immigration & Global Mobility
Meera leads the firm’s Canadian immigration practice, guiding individuals, families and employers through work permits, permanent residence, provincial nomination and citizenship. She works hand in hand with Frank, whose notarial desk prepares the supporting documents her applications depend on, which is why her files rarely bounce back for paperwork.
