English law in practice
What clients most often need under English law.
Property is a frequent starting point. Buying or selling land in England and Wales involves careful due diligence, from searches and contract review to completion and registration of title at HM Land Registry. We act on residential and commercial conveyancing, leases and landlord and tenant matters, protecting your interest in the asset at every stage. Because everything runs online, clients buying UK property from abroad go through exactly the same process as clients down the road.
For businesses, we handle company formation and filings at Companies House, shareholder and commercial agreements, governance and transactions. International clients frequently use an English entity as a holding or trading vehicle, and we advise on the structure that fits their wider plans.
Where matters turn contentious, our disputes practice handles contract and commercial claims, energy and utility disputes, arbitration and mediation, with a settlement-first mindset and courtroom capability where it is needed.
On immigration, we advise individuals and employers on work, business and family routes under the UK Immigration Rules, including sponsorship, settlement and citizenship, coordinating across our jurisdictions where a move spans more than one country.
For private clients, we prepare wills, arrange powers of attorney and affidavits of execution, and support families whose assets and interests sit on both sides of a border.
